Day 14

You will practise being conscious of your body throughout this yoga class. During the meditation at the end, we will apply this consciousness as a means of cultivating non-reactivity, and even as a way of reducing stress.

Numerous studies have shown that full consciousness meditation decreases stress, reduces blood pressure, improves the immune system and brain function, improves sleep and increases one’s tolerance to pain and discomfort. In addition to all these well-known benefits, it will make you a better person.

Dawn Mauricio
Dawn is a yoga and meditation teacher with a playful, dynamic, and centred approach. She is known for her boundless energy and smiling personality. This year marks the fourth consecutive year Dawn will co-teach the Lolë White Tour. In addition to teaching yoga since 2006, she started studying Insight Meditation in 2005 and has completed numerous silent meditation retreats internationally, including a 3-month one. Dawn is also the co-founder of the Yoga Mala Foundation, a Montreal-based non-profit organization that supports the development of yoga programs in underserved communities.
